One of the most frustrating social impacts of a criminal record is how difficult finding a job is. A criminal record also impacts insurances, housing, cross-border travelling, etc. The CPSP raises awareness among clients without criminal records about criminal activity, and helps individuals with criminal records to better reintegrate the community.
Crime prevention is designed to raise awareness amongst adult about the impacts of a criminal record. Youth are also educated through the Impacts, Dossier, Juvénile, École (IDJE) project. Visit the following website www.idje.ca (French).
